インド工科大学ボンベイ校(IIT BombayまたはIITB)のインダストリアルデザインセンター(IDC)では2007年より子供を対象としたゲームデザインのプロジェクトを行っています。
このたびこのゲームプロジェクトが『金の卵展』(東京六本木AXIS Gallery)に出展することになりました。

『金の卵展』はデザイン系大学(または大学院)の、これからの展開が期待される学科や注目されるプロジェクトを紹介する展示会で、毎年開催されています。IITボンベイ校のゲームプロジェクトはこの展示会に招待され、プロジェクトの展示とゲームの実演を行うことになりました。会場ではパネル展示とともに、いくつかのゲームサンプルが展示され、会場で実際に遊ぶことが出来ます。初日から8月30日までは、IITボンベイ校から来日した教授または学生、卒業生がブースに滞在し、ゲームの説明を行います。
この中には、今年4月日本にて発売の運びとなったゲーム「ゼロサム」の展示・実演も含まれます。

☆8月30日プレゼンテーションについて

8月30日に開催される学生によるプレゼン大会にIITボンベイ校も参加します。トリを務めるIITボンベイ校の登場はだいたい15時30分以降となります。スライドによるプレゼンテーション(5〜10分)の後、来場者とともにゲームのプレゼンテーションを行います。

Uday Athavankar教授について:
Prof. Uday Athavankar currently works as Emeritus Fellow at Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay, India. Alumnus of JJ college of architecture, he worked as an architect for 4 years before switching over to Industrial Design in 1970. He studied Industrial Design at Institute of Design, Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. Since then, he has been dividing his time between design education, design research and design related consulting for companies. He has served as Head, Industrial Design Centre, Dean, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
Prof. Athavankar leads the game design projects, and will be present in the exhibition on Augst 28th.

Golden Eggs is a prestegious annual design exhibition in which design colleges and universities present their projects to wide range of visitors from business and academia.

As one of the courses, IDC develops educational games for children, and the corresponding team has been invited to the exhibition to present their game projects to Japan. During the exhibition, 5 original games will be displayed in the booth, including the game Zero sum, which has been put on Japan market in April 2014 by the educational corporate Gakken. The visitors can touch and try to play those games, and on August 28th, 29th and 30th IIT Bombay students and alumni can help to play the games on the spot.

The participant students presentation will take place on the same gallery on Augst 30th from 14:00. IIT Bombay team will also give their presentation, starting around 15:30 or 16:00. After their presentation, the guests will be invited to try the games. There is no need to sign up the presentation.
